She cared for her father and discovered firsthand the stigma and shame associated with dementia. As carers of people with dementia like Ita continue to speak out, and it is wonderful to have the support of someone with as many credentials and as much focus as her, the voice of people with dementia remains under-represented. I wonder when the Press Club will invite someone with dementia to speak to them?
