Let us learn to show our friendship for a man when he is alive and not after he is dead.”
F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
We have to attend another funeral on Monday, and as always, it makes me sad, and even more philosophical about life. It always takes me back to the title of this blog, and to the line I heard from Wayne Dwyer, which is to live every day as if it is your last, just in case it is. One of the young men who have been left behind from this death is like another son to me, and a brother to our youngest; I only hope I can show him how much I (and we) love him now. RIP dear Moira, we loved you for everything you have been and done, and for being you. We will miss you.
