A very short blog today, as I am too angry to write something constructive. If I posted what I have written so far, it would be unfair to myself, and possibly to some others. But suffice to say, it is about yet another instance of a person with dementia being made to look incapable of being coherent, and another instance of a person with dementia not being included, and the misuse of some information published in an article. Cleaning is usually my way of calming down (old habits die hard!!!) so it seems the laundry or kitchen cupboards may get a scrub, if I can work out how to. Oh yes, I will eventually blog about this topic, and the offending ones will be named, but today is not the day! I guess this is the price I have to pay for becoming more public with my words and actions… my own bloody fault!

I’m a procrastinator as well as a dementia sufferer, but anger and frustration have a marvellous way of keeping the trash from our small home. Doesn’t work all the time, but usually gives me a good feeling at the end. Sadly I seem to accumulate more than I throw away. 🙂

Kate – it’s normal to have days like this ….. hell, I have them in a row sometimes. Don’t be so hard on yourself.
Hope that you were able to have a good day and not let it get you down……

A bit of anger certainly helped me clean out the laundry cupboards!!! all good though thanks, it can fuel one into action for good things too, which it did later today. 🙂

I could deliver a good slap or three if you like. As Pete says, you are being very kind to people who don’t (want to) know better, as god almighty the messages are out there about how to treat people with disabilities with respect and dignity but their ears are larded with bigotry and often, self-importance.

I think judging by her response to my complaint, it is the latter… self importance, plus a big fat dose of ‘I know better’ than you!!!

My darling as gracious as it is of you to accept responsibility for a group of people who are ignorant at best and insulting at worse it is not your place to do so. However have noticed that the en-suite bathroom could do with a good scrub. Love you and don’t let the bastards get you down.
