Laughter is the best medicine

It’s another day when I really need a laugh and so the following email sent to me some years ago is to be my blog post today! Sometimes, if we don’t laugh, we would sit and cry and although crying can be incredibly healing, it is not always the best option as if you are facing ongoing challenges or illness, then to be sad and cry all the time is too negative and emotionally draining. We need to laugh more to reduce stress, improve communication, enhance relationships and to feel better inside ourselves. Laughing and dementia for me is not optional as it is the best way for my husband and I to deal with it, at least for now. For us, it is the gift for better coping and surviving a crisis, and is also darned good fun!

So, here’s a good laugh for today…

Are you sick and tired of being ignored?

Do you sit unnoticed on the sidelines while others are picked?

Are you tired of being overlooked?

Get yourself a new scarf !!

Try the latest scarf fashion and you too will be the centre of attention  . . .

We don’t stop laughing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop laughing.

  2. The fact that there are clearly different cups sizes available when buying these is probably the most alarming part of the above picture for me.. that someone had thought about and designed it to the stage where they recognised people would want custom sized breast scarves.. who knew there were such niche markets out there?

P.S. Thanks for the laugh Kate!
