The Big Issue is one of my favourite causes, and for the third year we are holding a lunch at the Adelaide Central Markets on Sunday 14 July, with three fabulous Adelaide chefs. It is an event that raises money to support the homeless vendors in South Australia, not as a hand out, but by providing programs for women, or the Street Soccer . I cannot imagine being homeless, or sleeping under the stars or inside a bus shelter with the rain or hail pelting down nearby. The thing I particularly like about The Big Issue is they provide a ‘Hand up, not a hand out”. If you live in South Australia, and can find the time to support them by attending this lunch, please book your seat or get a group of friends together and book a table of 10.
