Summit: Supporting people with dementia and their families

We’ve been privileged to have Gina Shaw from the UK here as our guest speaker today at our summit, Supporting people with dementia and their families: The consumer perspective. You can ‘meet’ her in this video produced by The Alzheimer’s Society UK. I think I’ve blogged it before, but it is a terrific video clip, worth watching again. It is the first time Alzheimer’s Australia has ever invited a person with dementia to be a key note speaker at an event like this, something I have campaigned hard for, and I’m thrilled to say it has happened. Thanks Gina for your very positive contribution to the summit today.

  1. Power of the people – such community spirit. You have created the start of collaborative hub that spreads the message of awareness that opens the door to offer support.

The only thing missing in this global conversation is YOUR voice... Thank you.
