I follow and read Brain Pickings regularly, and almost find my own wisdom, curiosity and heart have been moved in some way. It is worth signing up to if you have not already. The article below I found especially relevant to me today…
Poet Jane Kenyon’s Advice on Writing: Some of the Wisest Words to Create and Live By
I’ve added a couple of wonderful quotes below from the article, but you’ll have to visit their site to read the full article. It is worth it!
Be a good steward of your gifts.
Protect your time. Feed your inner life. Avoid too much noise. Read good books, have good sentences in your ears. Be by yourself as often as you can. Walk. Take the phone off the hook. Work regular hours.
Tell the whole truth.
Don’t be lazy, don’t be afraid. Close the critic out when you are drafting something new. Take chances in the interest of clarity of emotion.
Just what I needed today, thanks Kate. I love Brain Pickings too and also find your words and life inspiring.

Be a good steward to yourself and to others. Could do with a trade union and a few shop stewards for Care Partners. There needs to be some sort of collective action to address the exploitation associated with dementia. As Roy Little says :’Don’t Dance With Dementa March Against It’.
