Dementia and Grief

Yesterday, the sadness and frustration I was feeling was most likely grief, for those things I can not longer do. Sadly, very few acknowledge or understand the grief people with dementia experience.

As always grief and life is a roller coaster; with dementia grief sneaks up on us, returning in full swing due to the constant changes and new losses of capacity… hence I’m reposting an old blog today.

  1. Kate,
Your gift of compassion, generosity and intellect has touched the lives of so many people, in Australia, and across the world, living with dementia, in a way that has made their life so much better.
Feel the presence of their warmth and appreciation. It springs from you, Kate.
