Today my niece is celebrating her 30th birthday. She and her dear little boys aged almost 4 and 18 months old are visiting to share a cake. To me, birthdays are days to be treasured and shared, to be celebrated in every way possible. It is a great joy to be invited to celebrate someone else’s birthday with them, and every effort should be made to make it special for them. And then I ask, why just for one day, why not make it a birth month which means you do or say one extra special thing for the birthday girl or boy for each day of their birthday month? I know I’d love that!

I always love birthdays and love my friends birthday party’s, Kate-they are such a joyous occasion filled of fun. I always look forward to my birthday and always have a lovely birthday-my tradition for birthdays have been the same for many years-i always go out to dinner on my birthday-i actually went to the same resturant for 8 birthdays in a row-it was just up the road from where i live-but unfortunately that resturant closed so i have been going to different resturants for the last few years and i am still struggling to decide what is my favourite resturant. I always love celebrating my friends birthdays and acheivements with me. It is a privledge being invited to someone’s birthday-the beauty of being sociable. I wish it was a birth month too, although i had a pro longed birthday this year by 2 days-lucky me-yes! What do you do for your birthday’s, Kate? Looking forward to my birthday next year now!

Birthdays are also great times to be grateful we are not dead! Waking up every day is like that for me too…

Very true-every milestone is worth celebrating and being grateful you are not dead and for being in good health too when your old like 80. Also, when you have a terminal illness and have made it to that milestone. Also, when your old as you don’t know how long you have left. Although my Grandma is 84 and in really good health, we still celebrate her birthday as that we are grateful she is still in fabulous health. If my Grandad makes it to 88 this year, we will celebrate that he is not dead-sage advice, Kate x😊
