Ok, it’s now half way through another new day, and it has been more than exciting and uplifting. To begin the day, my husband and I met with two people to discuss making a documentary style recording of my journey with dementia, for use as a teaching tool. Then after a haircut (not sure if I like it yet?), I arrived home to receive an email telling me I’ve won the prize for being the highest individual fundraiser for the Hutt Street Homeless Centre’s ‘Walk a Mile in My Boots’ event this year. A trip to Kangaroo island for 2 nights in a beautiful home on secluded Baudin Beach just  10 kms from Penneshaw, with my wonderful husband. This is the first prize I have ever won, other than one raffle ticket for a goodie basket about 15 years ago.  What a day.. and it’s not yet 1pm!
