I spent the afternoon speaking to a wonderful group of women at Mt Barker; a group of nurses and carers supporting people with health issues related to aging or illnesses like dementia to stay in their homes. They humbled me by listening to my personal story about living with dementia, asking probing yet respectful questions, and in the process sharing something of themselves. I also came away glad to have impacted them as it makes the effort of speaking out more than worthwhile, but also incredibly encouraged that their own goals are so obviously to make a difference in the lives of others. Thank you. My concern now is, ‘who looks after them?‘, as burn out in their job must be hard to avoid. Another day, another new thing to think about…

Sounds wonderful, Kate, and how lovely for you all to connect and share stories-nurses and caregivers are angels with hearts of gold🎇💛🤗
