Be true to yourself. Be true to others; Take care of you; Love yourself and others, unconditionally; Always send an apology if you forget appointments, birthdays, anniversaries or special occasions; business or pleasure. Exercise and stretch every day; Use your mind: read, listen, think, learn; Listen in accordance with the ratio of your ears to your mouth, i.e. 2 ears, 1 mouth! Always tell the truth; Confront your faults; Face your failures, accept them and then learn from them; Acknowledge and understand your dark side, then learn to control it. Build on your best traits; See only the good in others; Speak kindly of yourself and others. Do not gossip. Ever. If you find fault in others, seek them in yourself, fix them, and allow others to tend to their own (maybe not in your time, but when they are ready to). When the student is ready, the teacher appears. Expect nothing of others; If you want your parents or family and friends to accept you for who and what you are, be sure to offer the same to them. Speak only truths. Look for challenges; challenges = rewards. Leave something good of yourself wherever you go. Love a pet. Regularly spend time with someone who is sick, lonely or worse off than you. Realise the reward for good deeds will rarely come from those you give to. What you think of me is none of my business (this is the name of a GREAT book!). Be on the lookout for the beautiful in everyone and everything; Help someone carry their shopping to their car or home; Do one good deed per day, just because you can; Speak only your thoughts, clearly and kindly; Believe in wellness; Act like children some of the time. Only be serious or ‘grown up’ when the occasion demands it. Avoid conflict. Seek serenity and peace. Live each and every day as if it is your last… just in case it is! If you are feeling guilty, finds the reason and work to resolve it; the only person who is feeling it is YOU. Look at your problems in a new light: If it will still be a problem in a year, FIX IT NOW, if it won’t then forget it! If you hate your job, FIND A NEW ONE. If you can’t find a new one that you like, then create one; Donate to charity, regularly and anonymously; it is a far greater deed when you do not seek recognition; Love the old person who drives slowly, your time to be old will come; Nurture a garden patch; Believe in the fairness of the universe; If you feel wronged by someone, offer them only love.; Guilt is a wasted negative emotion, give up the luxury of holding onto it; Wear clean shoes; Brush your hair every day; Read for fun. Treat your body like your favourite car or pet… service it regularly. The way you see others is merely a reflection of yourself. Be patient… cheerfully. If your plans are changed for you, look for the reason why rather than why not. Let go of anger and resentment, they only hurt you. Forgive… everyone.
