It was a 6.15am flight to Brisbane that started my day, on route to a beautiful island called Tangalooma. The weather has been perfect, sunshine, still waters, dolphins, swimming and time with dear friends. Not much time or inclination for blogging or any other online activity, although I did manage to re-read yesterdays blog. The wordsmith tragic and perfectionist in me still can’t stand the fact it needs further editing, is repetitive, and is a long way from perfect! Yesterday was busier than usual, and I did not have the amount of time required for sufficient editing. Does that mean I don’t keep up my goal of a daily post to my blog? Or do I have to accept that sometimes making the effort is more worthwhile than perfection? The answer for me is to accept effort as perfection, especially as the striving to achieve is the point of it all, the climbing of the mountain is almost always more valuable than the view from the top. Another day, another dolphin, that is tomorrow!

Hi Kate, I think over editing is a waste of time. Sometimes I think we understand what the person is really saying when editing is not done. How about you in Tangalooma! I am so thrilled for you in your journey – you continue to be such an inspiration to us all. Take time out for that compulsory cocktail. Hope and Love Robynx

Someone once said (and I am probably paraphrasing) “don’t forget to stop and smell the roses”… so don’t beat yourself up if you miss a blog; go play with a dolphin!

You’ll be pleased to know I have had a massage today, a nana nap, a swim, some reading by the pool… what can I say, other than I am ‘smelling the roses’ too! and who knows, I may not get nack to write my blog as I’m about to go play and feed the dolphins (with establishment approval of course), and I’ve got dinner still to come! xx
