Every day is a new day, every book a new book, every tune a new tune. Such is my memory, and so, the tears have gone, and life on the train is still ok. My children see it as an opportunity I can’t remember what I’ve read, as being able to re-wrap the same book each Christmas!! Our family’s sense of humour working to keep life in perspective happily seated on the dementia train with me. I am listening to one of my all time favourite singers, Blossom Dearie, with the sounds of the ocean in the background. She is not that well known, just another of my eclectic taste buds at work, another of the many
reasons I often don’t seem to fit in. Blossom Dearie is delightful, and one of the few people I have lined up to get an autograph from. I took Pete to see her in cabaret, and of course he had not heard of her either, just like most of you! Thank God today I can remember her, although not until the third track; but she is on my train, wrestling for space on my tracks.
