I decided to list the projects and other goals I am working on currently, or have planned for next year, creating not only a very public ‘To do’ list, but as a way as a way of enlisting you as motivational advisors! So here it is;
-
Write every day
- Abstracts for ADI Taiwan 2013, due 25 October
- Abstracts for Alzheimer’s Australia 15th National Conference 2013, due 30 November
- Presentations x 7, x 1 due today!!
- BA Honours thesis, due as soon as possible
- Book about younger onset dementia (YOD)
- Book for children of YOD, targeted to young adolescents
- Cook book
- Write a hand written letter to special family and friends
- Continue to volunteer for The Big Issue and The Bereaved Through Suicide Support Group
- Have Nana naps every day
- Stretch more
- Love more, laugh more
- Spend more time with loved ones
- Learn to draw caricatures!
Possibly that is more than enough, and I believe the first one and the last six are probably the most important, so the list is not listed in order of significance! These are the things that keep me striving to look beyond dementia, get me out of bed every day, keep my life truly meaningful, keep me engaged and looking beyond myself, and even if I don’t complete any of them, it will be fun trying!

go girl!!

Hmmm… as the next comment says, always better to shoot for the stars! In fact I left my second poetry book off that list…

Wow.. very ambitious! But as they say, shoot for the moon, then even if you miss, you’ll still land among the stars. Also hope you upload some caricatures when you’ve got that one under your belt.

Love it Josh, the idea of missing the moon, but landing among the stars, so lovely thank you. IF I ever get to the caricatures (fairly low on the list) perhaps I’ll add them to this blog?
