Dementia, bras and laughter…

Whilst we’re all in the mood for some fun, it seems I should tell you a true story, as well as recording it here for posterity! Last week my husband and I were driving home from the airport and passed a wholesale outlet for women’s bras. He noticed the sign saying ‘Free fittings’ and thought this was very curious as had thought surely be should be allowed to try on a bra without out a fee being charged. I explained that some stores selling bras provided professionals to assist with the perfect fitting of a bra, and it is quite a complicated process for some women depending on their sized breasts. With a gleeful look on his face, he said out loud, and without any hesitation; “I think I’ve found my new career”!! He has often wondered if the type of dementia in our home would or could change to the one where I would want more sex, so maybe this new career is the next best thing? It has given us much laughter the last few days, and will continue to in the future.
