If anyone needs to stop by and smell a few of them, please feel free to swing by! So many of my friends are working so hard, they hardly ever have time (make time?) to stop and smell their own, or anyone else’s roses; ‘This is the price of success’, many say.
What is success if all it means is more money in your super fund or a bigger house or a more expensive piece of jewellery or holiday? If all this success stops you from spending time with you beloved family and friends, is it really worth it?
On your death-bed, will you really wish you spent more time at work?

……my late wife used to say from time to time…….” stop the world, I want to get off “

You are so right! It often takes illness or some other life-changing occurrence to realise that there is so much more to getting the most from life than the all-consuming work. All that you put into your friends and family comes back to you in spades…..don’t waste a moment from here on 🙂 I know that you Kate live your life to the utmost and hopefully reap the tremendous rewards as a result. x

I wish I could swing by but it’s rather a long way from here! We won’t see roses till May and I’m looking forward to it.
One of our reasons for moving to France was to get off the treadmill and live a more balanced life. On the whole, I think we’ve achieved it. Sometimes, it would be nice to earn as much but the compensations far outweigh that.
