It is Day 20 of my National Poetry Writing Month challenge, and this is the haiku I wrote for today; I am who I am. It is the final in a series of three. I’ve been trying to have some sort of social commentary or dialogue throughout the poems, or at least have a bit of fun. These poems will go into the manuscript I will send off soon in the hope of having my second volume of poetry published, this time a whole book of haikus.
On another note, I loved all the ‘Likes’ and comments from yesterday… as always, thanks! It is always good to be reminded it is ok to be ‘I am who I am’. Vanessa, I’ll have a go at setting up the ratings button when I return to Australia, thanks for the tip.
Last night we had the conference dinner on the 86th floor of the Taipei 101 building, which is now the second tallest building in the world. I took this picture of it this morning on the way back from the ADI Taipei 2013 Memory Walk. This walk deserves a blog of its own, and will take me some time to write about, but suffice to say it was a lot of fun, and very inspiring. We have one last day of the conference, a quiet night tonight and then we pack to depart for home late tomorrow, arriving in Adelaide at 7am. I can’t wait to see Charles and Matt, as well as pick up the cats! We’ve missed them all.

Kate – I’ve seen your photos on your Facebook page and they are really good. I especially liked the photo of all speakers ……. especially the woman in the middle of the photo dressed in the black and white outfit 😉 no points for guessing why!!!
When you have more time tell us how your speech went …… wasn’t it on the first day??
