My ability to continue to write a blog every day is deteriorating, and so it seemed a sensible idea to set out a plan to ensure I can continue blogging in some way because the value of doing it is significant. As of today, Saturdays are to become my poetry day and I have written this without heeding any norms or set guidelines on writing poetry. It is simply verse about my feelings, many of the themes or words having already appeared somewhere in a blog! I’ll try to be more original next time…
what the hell happened to my brain…
it has been diagnosed with dementia when I was much too young
a deadly terminal disease effecting my
memory, thinking, perception, judgement, language and speech
but worse than that, effecting my
life, my friendships, my sense of self, my identity
it has brought with it a bucket load of guilt
truckloads of stigma and discrimination and isolation
and loss of dreams, and grief
and sadness, disbelief, lost employment
but also a new purpose, of advocacy and activism
to try to bring about change
to stop the blatant abuse of the most basic of human rights
of people diagnosed with dementia, young or old,
and many renewed friendships, and many more new global friends
we need support to remain engaged with pre-diagnosis activities
counselling to stay motivated
a disAbility access plan and assisted technologies
disAbility equipment, mentoring
positive psychology for our sense of well being
and above all, to be
treated with dignity as whole human beings

Lovely Kate – lovely. I’d like to add 2 words to your second paragraph
“but worse than that, effecting my
life, MY FAMILY, my friendships, my sense of self, my identity”
You’ve said such lovely things about your husband and I wanted to make sure that he was included.

Great words Kate! I couldn’t help but think as I read your wonderful poem about all of the innocent people being afflicted with all kinds of brain issues due to the aluminum in the chemtrails. I take zeolite everyday to purge it from my body. I put it in my yogurt( no taste) and feel good about being able to fight off what they are doing to use. I think if I were you I would consider using it everyday to clear your body of heavy metals as well. The more your body collects the worse things will become. Just a thought I wanted to share. Sending you love and hugs….VK
You want the powder. This one is the most pure!

Thanks VK… my research has not taken me down this path, so thanks for the tip. I’ll review and then adjust my regime accordingly. With love and hope to you too.
