Dementia resources

I’ve decided to add three valuable dementia resources. It seems everyone has caught up to digital media and they are springing up all over the world.

Alzheimer’s Australia South Australia developed a collection of training videos called Is it dementia? They are well worth a look, and will go some way in helping to develop dementia friendly communities in my state.

The short video titled Dementia Friends was produced by Alzheimer’s Society in UK, and aims to make everyday life better for people with dementia by changing the way the nation thinks, talks and acts.

This third one is one of a series from Senior Helpers; Senior Gems™ A Guide For Family Members With Dementia- condensed. Caregiving Gems is also worth a look!

  1. The “Is It Dementia” videos are fabulous – I used them for our volunteer training day – asking them to be advocates for people living with dementia in the community – not just here at Caladenia.
