The joy of Gurrumul

Gurrumul and James Black

Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu

Has crept into my soul

Blessed are we for his beautiful voice

More blessed am I to have hearing

His blindness there for all to see

Not stopping him living a good life

Perhaps inspiring him to be

More inspired than others

It was my very great fortune

To have witnessed him in concert

Side by side with my husband

A wonderful  and thoughtful

Wedding anniversary gift

A show if his love

To our life together

Thank you Gurrumul

Witnessing greatness

And thank you my darling Pete

  2. What a lovely way to celebrate your wedding anniversary, you do indeed have a special, thoughtful husband. I have not heard this singer and will look out for his CDs. Today’s blog sounds as though the occasion was something that touched you deeply. That is fantastic.

    • His music and his inner beauty shine radiantly, and have settled themselves firmly into my soul… he has indeed moved me deeply. Oh, and my husband ranks well up there too, and in a much more tangible way! x

    • Dear Shelley, that is a lovely offer, but no need, I am lucky enough to have 3 of his CD’s, the last one being recorded with the ASO. I hope you enjoy your copies as much as I enjoy mine… xox

The only thing missing in this global conversation is YOUR voice... Thank you.
