It is twelve months today
Since a dear friend called Michael left us
He was gentle and loving
Perhaps the most
Forgiving and compassionate man
I have ever met
My Nelson Mandela
Eccentric of course
But just enough to be adorable
And a big bit funny
Those of us who had the honour
To know him
Miss him
Each and every day
He would have loved this elephant
Enjoying life
Not worried by others eyes
Loving life until the very end
And our grief for him
Lives on with Glory

was thinking about you this week, sending cyber hugs
