If you are not on twitter, and have not seen this blog introducing me on digitalhealth.gov.au, you might be interested… I feel very honoured to have been representing Dementia Alliance International last week, and to have been referred to in this digitalhealth.gov.au blog, and extremely thrilled that issues such as discrimination, human rights and now rehabilitation for dementia are on the global stage, and are included in the Call to Action.
The Infographic above was produced by Alzheimer’s Disease International, and represents well the vast numbers currently diagnosed. It was reported at the first WHO Ministerial Conference on dementia in Geneva last week there are now more than 47 million living with a diagnosis of dementia, a truly staggering figure.
