Abstract submission for ADI Conference 2021

ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS CLOSES ON 5 NOVEMBER 2021

Dear friends and colleagues,

It has been some time since I posted anything here. Life has been busy, and at times, getting in the way!

However, I wish to highlight that Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) will host their next global conference, 8-10 June 2022, as a hybrid event, providing the opportunity to attend either virtually or in London, UK.

As always, I encourage people diagnosed with any type of dementia to submit an abstract, as well as care partners, as it is imperative these voices have a strong presence.

ADI’s conference is a large multidisciplinary conference for researchers, medical professionals, educators, professional and family carers, people living with dementia and staff and volunteers of Alzheimer’s association. With normally over 100 countries in attendance it is a truly global event, with reduced registration rates for those from lower and middle income countries.

Abstract submissions are currently open and with over 55 abstract topics to chose from you can see that the conference will address many areas. Oral and poster presentations are available and it will be possible to participate whether it be virtually or in-person in London. You can see the abstract topics and how to submit an abstract at https://adiconference.org/abstracts

The deadline for submission is next Friday 5 November so be sure to submit you abstract before then.

The programme is structured around the 7 action areas of the WHO’s global action plan on dementia.

  • Dementia as a public health priority
  • Dementia awareness and friendliness
  • Dementia risk reduction
  • Dementia diagnosis, treatment, care and support
  • Support for dementia carers
  • Information systems for dementia
  • Dementia research and innovation

I would like to encourage you to submit abstracts and share this information with your colleagues and networks either by forwarding or tagging this blog or sharing information on your own social media directly or by sharing ADI’s posts @alzdisint

I’m hopeful I’ll be able to travel to be ther ein person (fingers crossed), and look forward to seeing many of you there.

ADI2022 London
