For many years, I have wanted to be remembered as a nice person… this is also what I  heard Tony Bennett say recently when being interviewed on his 85th birthday. He is a musical superstar, and one of my heroes. He appears to have lived his life with integrity, dignity and respect for himself and others. His goal to be remembered as a nice person is one I believe he has achieved, and one I will continue to aspire to. After all, once we are dead, there is not much left other than what others thought of us. I want the words at my funeral to ring true, the tears and laughter to be real, the memories to be happy ones, and lots of positive feelings about how I lived my life. Sure I’ve made mistakes, some pretty big ones at that, but if I strive to be a nice person, then surely I too will have a greater chance at success?
