A few basic lessons from the great Vladimir Lasky’s session on security. This session was informative, professional and very engaging. Thanks Vlad!
- Use your own network card – do NOT use public ones
- Do NOT use the same passwords on your sites – he suggested the first letter from each word of a ditty, your favourite saying, song or poem
- Do NOT download themes and plugins from third-party sites

Today was to be a much greater blog, but the un-healthy health system has got in my way, stolen my time and sapped my energy. I feel another rant on this topic soon!

Hi Kate, rant as much as you like. You have earnt it! Let me rant. Really sad about a friend of mine whose Dad is in high care. He is legally blind. My friend Glen went to visit him last week and when she entered the facility heard this voice “help me, help me, nurse, nurse”. She realised it was her Dad. She found him in the toilet. It was handover time and staff had forgotten he was in the toilet. He is 93 years old, has a heart condition, is legally blind and suffers with cancer. Glen couldnt find any staff to assist him. Finally found someone who said she had just come on duty and didnt know anything about this.
Glen got him to his room. He was shaking and needed to lie down. This is a place that often has his urinal bottle beside him. He uses this in the night. They arrive in the afternoon and the bottle is still beside his bed. As he is blind he has no idea that his urine is sitting beside him all day. Glen often goes and empties it. My heart brakes. He is a real gentleman and would be so ashamed if he was able to see what is around him. There, got it off my chest. This is why I continue to advocate for people who have no voice. Hope and Love Robynx
