Well, I did have a great idea for today’s blog, but have been seriously distracted sooooooo many times today and tonight, I have absolutely no idea what it was. What a day! Up early, working on my presentation to Masonic Homes, an unexpected visitor who was in tears and I didn’t have the time to do more than give her a big hug over a cup of coffee she had to make herself, presenting at 1.15pm to a beautiful group of people who truly care about the welfare of those of us with dementia, getting home and having a lovely cup of coffee and chat with my new friend from Manchester, then to discover a nasty virus had come home with me on my USB stick, losing 4 folders of files, no idea if I have them backed up, mostly because I can’t remember what is on them, a visit to see my father in law, in hospital since we arrived home from Tangalooma, ony to find him being discharged as we arrived to visit him at 6.30, home to feed and shut in the kitties, a quick dinner out with my husband (no food for humans in the fridge, only cat food cupboard!!), 4 phone calls regarding sick or distressed friends, emails to the major hospital with more complaints about the care of my sick friend, finding out a dear friend is almost homeless again, another phone call from the nursing home to say my father in law has had another fall since arriving back there tonight after being discharged too soon from hospital (you would have agreed, many days too soon, if you had seen him), and now a few words for my blog! Nothing yet written today for NaNoWriMo, but perhaps it is not the time for that today after all? All I’ve got left in the tank is love and a small dose of laughter after remembering I had to ring the specialist to say I’d forgotten to ask for a repeat script at my visit yesterday. He is used to me, so he will not only understand, but laugh about it the next time we meet! What about tomorrow… too tired to think about it for now, other than bring it on!
