Blogging, neuroplasticy and memory

I have no idea when I actually signed up for a WordPress blog, but I’ve been blogging since  27 August 2011, and so far have posted 212 daily blogs, 63 conversations, and about 35 recipes. And, there is only 303 days left to complete Project 366. It seems odd that 303 days seems so achievable, but in the context of how many blogs and conversations and recipes I’ve added, as well as the information posted on other pages, and my replies to your responses, it seems almost miniscule. The effort it takes me to keep thinking, in order for me to write is definitely working my brain, working on the neuroplastocity, and the new pathways I hope for this to help create are definitely worth striving for. It takes a lot of focus to think and write anything these days; it is as if I am sitting an exam all the time, which is why in between activities I try to rest or meditate. Anyway, we head to the airport for a mid afternoon flight to London, via a quick stopover in Kuala Lumpar, which is the place where my youngest son was conceived, so I always think of the wonderful little miracle that is my son whenever I think about KL! It will be good to relax on the plane, knowing that everything has been packed and organised. The only sadness I feel is leaving my sons and cats (and friends) behind, as I will miss them all, but at least I can stay in touch and feel connected through this blog and by facebook or twitter! Blogging will have to go on, regardless of where I am as it is my memory bank. The photos from our last trip are lovely, but apart from the Eiffel Tower, I have little recollection of being at most of the places, nor know where they are. Because of this, I’ll try to add some pictures into my blogs of our travels, as a record for my memory. Wherever we go, whatever we do now, blogging, working on my neuroplasticity and finding ways to retain or retrieve memories is paramount to keeping my experience of life on the dementia train positive, and staying focused on happiness and love is the glue that helps me  keep it all together.
