Another day on the road, and we are both tired. After our marathon weekend of 30th birthday celebrations, I feel like I have got jet lag as I have been nodding on and off all day, and just want to go back to sleep. The effort of joining in has perhaps been greater than I had imagined it would be, and as such I don’t really have the energy to blog. My dear husband has been nagging me for the last hour or so, as he says there is no choice in the matter, I must write my blogs tonight. Because he says, tomorrow will be hell on wheels for him if I don’t as I won’t stop the recriminations all day about being so pathetic and lazy! I am not one to let my goals go easily which means when I do, I am a pain in the arse (his words, not mine!). He relates to it though, as he is a goal setter from way back and does not like things to beat him either. So other than this dribble, what to write I have been wondering. My brain is not working enough to work on any of the draft blogs I have in progress as most of them need more thinking and revising, so the only thing left is the simplicity of men. Our young male friends and my dear husband all agreed over the weekend that mostly they – the male species – are singularly focussed, and if possible, the preferred topic is sex. We were walking home tonight from dinner tonight in York in light misty rain, and most of the time I had my head down and under an umbrella, but at one point I looked up to see a woman walking towards us, reasonably well dressed and trim, but with rather large breasts. I walked quietly for a moment until she had passed us by, and then calmly said to my dear husband, wow, she has impressive breasts. He stayed quiet, apart from almost choking. Still no words, so I suggested he had most definitely noticed them based on the fact he was male, but was just too polite to comment in front of his wife. A mere smile, a Barbie blush, and eventually he said, I think you know we men too well! If you find this blog offensive in any way, then feel free to blame him, but it appears blogging, men and sex all go perfectly well together.

Well lovey you most definitely are exhausted! That is the shortest piece ever written about men and sex!!!!!!! A friend once said that men love breasts (all/any breasts) soooooo much that they would ALL happily breastfeed their entire lives……

Kate,
What an interesting dissertation on the male species.
Are you sure this Dementia diagnosis is correct?
As for that attractive woman, I always got an “eyes front” directive.
For the focus bit, I can relate entirely to your husband. I guess we are goal related, as the consequences are usually “why didn’t you remind me”.
Keep me laughing from time to time please?
