The 2013 Younger Onset Dementia summit: A few pictures!

It was an exhausting few days, but very valuable and I feel more confident things will change. Not only for people with younger onset dementia, but for everyone with dementia. As we collectively work on eradicating the stigma and discrimination, though awareness campaigns and speaking out in general, the wider community will ultimately have no choice but to change their actions, even if they refuse to change their thinking. I will continue to lobby for change to policy and funding, for as long as is humanly possible! Richard Taylor is my beacon of shining light, and his current fight against oesophageal cancer almost forces me to keep going. As do my many friends, at home and globally – YOU – who support and encourage the fight for a better world for all people with dementia. Thank you.

Here are a few pictures I took at the summit, which I will add to when I receive more.

  2. It is time to not only eradicate the stigma of dementia, but to eradicate the disease altogether! It is time for the magic of the new world to kick in and self healing becomes the norm. When we clean up our food, water and air, hopefully it will become easier to end this proliferation of forgetfulness. Dementia as well as all disease is nothing more than the body showing us we are disrupting the body’s natural homeostasis by our unnatural ways of living. Blessings to you Kate! VKxxx
