This is the photo my girlfriend took before my Graduation at the University of Wollongong yesterday. I was delighted to find out that I not only passed, but was awarded a Distinction in a Master’s of Science in Dementia Care… delighted of course! I shares the day with my first nursing girlfriend Jacinta, and another friend Lynda, and then had dinner with them and another friend Kerry last night. Thank you all for joining me.
It has been a roller coaster week, with the death of my aunt, the hostage situation and death of three people including the person who held everyone at gun point for many hours in Sydney, a graduation made even more exciting by the social media frenzy started by my wonderful and crazy friend Shibley who stayed out of bed to watch the live feed (he lives in London, so went ot bed at 6am!), and then home today to face the funeral.
My first poetry book was titled Love, Life Loss… a roller coaster of poetry, and to me, that explains life in one simple sentence!
Belated very big congrats on your huge achievement Kate. Inspirational. It sounds like your graduation was a day to cherish and I hope you got lots of lovely photos. Very proud of you xx

Thanks Paul… it is also much more than it used to be, as every time I start writing for uni now, I have to re watch all the tutorials on how to reference again… a fair pain in the butt indeed, but the only way forward to still achieve the things that are important to me… good luck with yours.
