Wow……. I can’t believe everything you are doing …… YOU A-M-A-Z-E ME Kate!! Please look after yourself {big hug} because nobody else will (except maybe good ol’ BUB!) Can you do another blog post to tell us the timing of your file, and when you anticipate it will go to air? I’m thinking the ABC? I hope it’s in prime-time so it gets maximum exposure to ALL age groups (know what I mean?) And do it in a NEW blog post because I WON’T be coming back to these blog comments to see any reply you may make đŸ˜‰
Alzheimer’s and dementia run deep in my family roots. Lost my mom this April 15 and it’s on both my mom and dads sides! I think I know my future and I’ve got to admit it scares me!
Kate, as always I listen for your important, insightful voice. Always remember that your contribution has been world-wide and of a huge scope. The advances in dementia care owe a great debt to you. I know blogging is hard (wow do I know that) but do remember that every post you have written has moved the global dementia care process forward. With great respect, George
Hope your are both going ok… maybe we will meet when I am in Wellington in November for this conference? Registration for people with dementia and family care partners is FREE http://www.alzheimersconference.nz
P.S. Living without dementia is also miserable. I know first hand. I also know it rocks. Makes me think life is like a metaphor for dementia, or vice versa. Either way, the universe has the last laugh đŸ˜›
Life and living in general can be miserable, with or without any disease… we have to choose to not be miserable all the time. That is all. Or at least, I strive for it is we have any chance of having a good time while we are on this earth. Every day.
