  1. Dear Kate,

    So perfectly true.
My life has been live with honesty, integrity and principals. My health hasn’t altered this. I still live my life with honesty, integrity and principals. My lived experiences has changed only the expression of these.
Where once my thoughts were prescribed greatly by religion, law, social compliance etc, now I deeply appreciate that doing the right thing may only be right for me and that makes it the most valuable and precious and valid right I possess.
To be self possessed, self defined, is so beautiful.
I want to live my life. I want to die with dignity. I want to be me to the end. This is not about giving up or making life somehow less precious. I would like to be relatively healthy for years yet.
Having dementia should not make me a victim of rules or the self-righteous rhetoric of other people whatever they intend. They are not more important, more knowledgeable, more wise, more kind nor more experienced in ME.

      Perfect.
