Adelaide Fringe 2012

OMG, isn’t life exciting! It opens up so many new doors, to so many new and interesting pathways and destinations. Some time after being diagnosed with a rare younger onset dementia, I decided to share my personal story of living with dementia and how I use it as motivation to live a fuller life. Being a Word Artist helps me capture memories, and blogging and other writing is becoming my personal history file. Poetry and stories embodying feelings and emotions are now being transformed into an event! Presented by me. For you. The lonely card player sitting in a corner. Music to singe your soul. When and where? At the Adelaide Fringe 2012. I hope the power of my story, and the humour I use to survive this hideous disease, will inspire you. My Unseen Disappearing World is a story about living with dementia, a story of laughter, love, dancing, tragedy, sadness, humour, memory loss, playing cards alone, grief, tears, shock, humiliation, stigma, keeping secrets, daring, engagement and inspiration; hysterical, poignant and life changing. Dates to be advised, posters to be made, media kits to be organised, a venue still in progress… all I can say for now is, stay posted, keep following, and don’t miss this event!
