Coming soon: “Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or another dementia”

Well… coming, but perhaps not soon enough! We were promised this would be ready for Dementia Awareness Month, and yes, I suppose it will we, but not until the 15th at least , so disappointing not to be able to tell you it is available now when we are four days into the month. Even the websites where it is available for pre-order, have many of the details wrong, hence I am adding the correct ones here today!

Lee-Fay and I were commissioned to write this for people recently diagnosed and their families, and hope that it is a book that will help as many as possible. Instead of having lots of loose help sheets, and trawling the internet for hours, not knowing if the information you get is accurate, we spent many hours on this book including interviewing literally hundreds of people, to get as many voices, as much detail, and hope it is a starting place for how to learn to live with dementia, not only die from it.

Ps – it may be slightly less than the price on this flyer, depending on where you purchase it.

  1. PS – I just tried googling the book so I could get a “preview” , even if only of the index!! 😉 Unfortunately, there’s nothing out yet.

BUT I did notice that you’ve just published the 2nd volume of your poems (4 weeks ago). Congratulations!! 🙂

  2. Wow!!! I didn’t know that you were writing ANOTHER book Kate!! Congratulations!! You are an amazing woman! You have achieved SO much in such a short amount of time.

I hope that you will be able to be interviewed by the radio talkback presenters – both for Dementia Awareness month but also as author of this new, practical book. (Just email me if you’d like to know what I mean by this)
